Colour Modes

Our printers use combinations of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) inks and toners. It is optimum for print files to be set up as CMYK. That being said our devices will convert RGB images to CMYK quite well. Our laser printers use CMYK toners and our inkjet printers use CMYK plus Light Magenta & Light Cyan to extend the colour gamut. Spot or Pantone colours are a pure or mixed ink run as a separate pass in offset printing. Spot or Pantone colours can be problematic in digital printing and should be converted to CMYK in your digital file to avoid transparency issues.
